Introducing Dr. Mark Wilson

Dr. Mark Wilson

"Paralysed and lying in a hospital bed for months gets a guy to thinking" says Dr. Wilson. After suffering with a rare nerve disease (Guillian-Barre Syndrom) as a young man, Dr. Wilson set his sights on becoming a chiropractor.

Chiropractic seemed a logical option for someone who, at the prime of his life, was struck down with a devastating health issue. "Medicine just didn't have anything helpful for the healing of my nerves. What I learned from being paralysed was that the power that made my body was going to be the same power that returned it back to the health that I so desperately wanted.

Dr. Wilson did his pre-chiropractic training at one of Canada's finest Universities, Queen's University out of Kingston, Ontario. He graduated from there with a B.Sc. in the Life Sciences; biology, microbiology, immunology, physiology and the like.

After completing his course of study there, he was accepted to Northwestern College of Chiropractic, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his four years of studies at Northwestern, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care.

Dr. Wilson believes that we are all here for a reason. Each and everyone of us has a unique purpose to fulfill. Not living up to that mission is a crime not only to you but the people you have been put here to serve. He believes that health comes by choice not by chance but that it is our own responsibility to seek out those choices that are going to best enable us to be well.

Dr. Wilson loves his annual honeymoon and his weekly date nights with his wife Amy. He enjoys spending time up at the lake or ranch with his three children Kyler, Savannah and Gabriella. Dr. Wilson is an avid hockey player and coaches as well. He enjoys triathlons, summitting peaks, professional speaking and traveling the world over.

Dr. Wilson can be irritable, have low energy and tend toward frustration without receiving his weekly wellness chiropractic visits. As well he tries to break a sweat almost everyday. "I find my mind just works better when I do", says Dr. Wilson.
